NetVIOS Managed/Open Source System
NetVIOS was originally developed for NetVIOS Inc. Under the NetVIOS Managed Source system, NetVIOS will be jointly extended by selected, managed open source developers. The final compilation distribution, commercialization, and ownership of the software and all source codes will remain that of NetVIOS. However, 30% of the company at any time will belong to NetVIOS source developers. In other words, NetVIOS will be a developer owned community.

At the inception of this scheme, a total number of source points (or programming points) will belong to the founding programmers. Programmer contributions which are module-level, function-level, or subfunction-level will then accrue points for the source programmer. The weight of the points will depend on an evaluation of the functionality by fellow NetVIOS developers and NetVIOS users.

• There is currently a total of 76756 source points.
• Module-level source additions/modifications carry a maximum of 3000 source points.
• Function-level source additions/modifications carry a maximum of 300 source points.
• Sub-Function-level source additions/modifications carry a maximum of 100 source points.
• Source points are transferable but will not be traded like a stock.

Developers and NetVIOS users will vote on the acceptability of changes and NetVIOS will decide and schedule the changes with or without additional modifications.
